THE CAST

The Idle Hour features a core cast of the (Not so) famous five, and visiting vocal virtuosi!

Forewarned is forearmed, as the Royal Observer Corp would say, and they were right! To make sure you're prepared for the Blighters when they come a'calling, here lie the epitaphs of the chief conspirators of Staged Radio...

Duncan Woodruff

Trained at the Bridge Theatre Training Company (2012), and previously fooled himself into achieving a History Degree at the University of Kent. Enjoys Cricket and pipe smoking, but has learnt not to do the two together.

Will Train

Having Studied Drama & Theatre at the University of Kent (2009), Will threw his lot in with Radio Blighty and hasn't been allowed to look back since. He has most recently been patenting a lego brick that doesn't hurt to buggery when you tread on it. As of yet noone has explained to him the advent of shoes.

Zoe Malloy

Graduated with an Acting and Theatre Studies Degree from the University of Kent (2006), and regularly paints...everything. This habit makes life very difficult, she says. Due to her diminuitive stature, she has an uneasy relationship with corners of work surfaces and tables.

Josiah Rose

Trained at the Guildford School of acting (2007), and toured with Circuses and Jousting tournaments for a number of years. when not hanging upside down from lead piping, or engaging in medieval pursuits, he enjoys a strong Scotch and Lord Whitingly's Guide to the modern Traction engine.

Christopher Grace

Gracing us with his presence and partiality to a good flexitone is Chris, who graduated from the University of Kent having studied Drama and Theatre (2009). He is singularly impressed by braces, and would like the world to know it. Moreover he is charmed by the earthly delights of a good mild and flatcap.

Radio Blighty's Visiting Artistes.

Jacob Sherwood

Studied the art of Film making at the University of Kent, and runs the rather enchanting "Minds Eye Entertainment" film company. An avid supporter of knitted headwear, and twice world tamberine engraver.

Robert Rawles

Trained at the Sheila Elliot Clarke College, and is the artistic director of Platform Theatre Company. Mr Rawles is also fully qualified to roll up his trouser legs at the seaside.

Rachel

Graduated from the Guildford School of Acting, and owns no fewer than 13 Jam Jars. the young lady  also thoroughly enjoys a good crossword.

Previous members of "The Idle Hour!"

Peter Corey

An original member of Radio Blighty, who is now pursuing a vast number of other successful projects! A Bafta award winning Writer, who trained at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. Peter can be seen playing tag with unsupecting customers of his local branch of Tescos.

James Woodruff

The original Sound technician for Radio Blighty, the rapscallion graduated from Canterbury Christchurch University with a degree in History (2013), and has previously conducted the lighting for the New Deal Theatre Company and Gap Theatre. He has had lesser success conducting electricity through lemon meringues pies.
